Hi, Using ImageX /export will only change NAME of the image but not DESCRIPTION. For example, the original data of f: install.wim is: Windows Vista BUSINESS Windows Vista BUSINESS Then I run imagex /export f: install.wim 1 d: new.wim “Windows Vista BUSINESS SP1” and the result is: Windows Vista BUSINESS SP1 Windows Vista BUSINESS We can see NAME is changed but DESCRIPTION remains. I am afraid that we cannot change DESCRIPTION directly. You have to use ImageX /capture and ImageX /append to set the value of DESCRIPTION. For example, we can run imagex /capture d: a d: test.wim “Folder A” “image of Folder A” and the result is Folder A image of Folder A Then we run imagex /append d: b d: test.wim “Folder B” “image of Folder B” and the result is: Folder A image of Folder A Folder B image of Folder B Therefore, if you would like to change DESCRIPTIONs of your Windows Vista images, you may need to manually capture all versions of Windows Vista.
